ABOUT ME
I’m Fiona Fraser, and I’m lucky enough to call Hawke’s Bay home - doing what I love alongside brands and businesses I believe in. Creating, crafting and collaborating is what gets me up in the morning. Words have always been my thing and I was attracted to storytelling from a very early age.
In the deep south, where I’m from, I created a little magazine called Country Fun when I was about nine years old. I had it all mapped out – the content was on point, the pencil drawings were delightful and I’d worked out a way to monetise my in-mag competitions. Dang, I’d even written an editor’s letter.
A couple of decades later I was a real-life journalist, working my way through the ranks in radio, web, and a variety of women’s magazines to land key roles, first as editor of The Australian Women’s Weekly (NZ edition), and then the dream: leading the team at our national treasure, New Zealand Woman’s Weekly.
I loved the breakneck pace and the thrill of the chase as an editor but the good life came calling and now, I’m living a life of Contentment on rural land outside Havelock North with my family, dog, and four rampant chooks. Here, I’ve been able to spend time honing my communications, social media and marketing skills, helping businesses at start-up stage, in growth… and sometimes, in crisis.
Through my gift for storytelling, developing brilliant, compelling content and connecting with a range of audiences, I’m here to help you experience total Contentment too.
